Who it is for
Adults who can read a short technical note in English and want the vocabulary of Solana development before they sit down to a keyboard. Prior chain experience is unnecessary. Comfort with arithmetic and a notebook is enough.
What you leave with
By the sixth sitting you can explain, in your own words, what an account holds, how a transaction lists instructions, what a program owns, and why space on an account has a lamport cost. You leave with a marked notebook and one follow-up desk hour.

Hana Seo leads every sitting. Minjae Park joins on week 4 (programs) and week 5 (rent and space).

Accounts
What an account stores: lamports, data, an owner, and an address. We separate a wallet account from the word people use at a bank.

Keypairs and signatures
Public and secret keys on paper. You sign a tiny made-up message with a pencil so the signature is a check, not a mystery.

Transactions
A transaction as a list of instructions plus the signatures those instructions require, and why a recent blockhash is part of the message.

The difference between a program account and a data account. Minjae draws the two boxes and the group says which one the runtime calls.

Rent and space
Why the size you ask for changes the lamports an account must hold to stay rent-exempt, using one worked figure.

A full read-through
The group reads one annotated example from the first account to the last signature, then sits a short written check.
How a place is held

Write to the room with the series date you want and a sentence on what you already understand.

A week before the first Tuesday you collect the printed pack at the room, or we hold it for you.

You attend the six sittings with a notebook. Laptops stay closed for the first four weeks.

Before you come
Bring a notebook and a pencil. Read the one-page accounts note we send with your confirmation. English is the language of the sitting. A laptop is optional from week five and stays closed before that.
Limits
Eight seats. A series opens when five seats are confirmed and is postponed a month if it does not fill, with the deposit returned.
The room is quiet during the read-aloud. Questions wait for the last twenty minutes.
Program-derived addresses, cross-program calls, and deployment steps sit on a later shelf and are outside this series.
