What we collect
The contact form asks for your name, email address, the sitting you are asking about, a preferred date, and a message about what you want to study. If you enrol, we also keep the deposit record, attendance at each sitting, and the follow-up hour you book. We do not ask for resident registration numbers, payment card numbers, or wallet secret keys.
Why we use it
We use these details to answer you, hold a seat, take attendance, and send the practical notes for your sitting. The legal bases are your request before a contract, the contract for a paid sitting, and our interest in running a safe reading room. You may decline to send the form; we then have no way to reserve a seat online.
Retention
Unanswered or declined inquiries are kept for 24 months so we can see prior correspondence. Enrolment lists, attendance, and fee records are kept until 12 months after the last sitting of that series, or longer if tax rules require the payment record. You may ask us to delete an inquiry that did not become a booking, and we will do so unless a legal hold applies.
Your rights
Under the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea you may request access, correction, deletion, or a suspension of processing. Email hello@pondercompass.click with the address you used on the form. We may ask a short confirming question so we do not release a note to the wrong person. You may also contact the Personal Information Protection Commission if you are unsatisfied with our reply.
International transfers
Seat records and email stay with Ponder Compass in Korea. The website loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore requests font files from Google, which may process an IP address on servers outside Korea. We do not send form contents to Google. See the cookie notice for the consent record stored in your browser.
Sharing
We share personal information with a bank only as a name on a transfer you initiate, and with an authority if Korean law requires it. Readers Hana Seo and Minjae Park see the attendance list for sittings they lead. We do not sell enquiry lists.
